Data Squad DVDs Change to Singles?
Based on a new listing at Right Stuf Data Squad may switch to five episode singles.
The second boxset was scheduled to come out about a month from now and had been solicited for awhile.
The new soliciation is for a week after the original release, but rather than a volume/collection name it has a title after the episode "Wild Boy of the Digital World."
The list price is the same (although Well Go's prior Digimon box was easily findable for under $20 by quite a bit) but instead the time listed seems to suggest five episodes.
It's worth noting that so far the second quarter series collection hasn't been canceled yet.
No doubt we will hear more of this as we get closer to the scheduled release dates.

Plenty of series get single-disc releases alongside box sets. I doubt they're going to completely switch over to singles.

13 eps are advertised as what the set contains, along with the added caveat filler that "Digimon Data Squad Promo Reel which fans both old and new will certainly enjoy!".
Just when Savers starts to get good and more IMO.

Well it looks like the news was true, Data Squad DVD 3 is shorter than the previous two. It only has:

The Gorge of Deception
Falcomon: Friend or Foe
Yoshi s Biggest Battle: The One with Herself
The Clash With Merukimon

I'm waiting on a response back from them, but as far as I can tell it appears they are just changing it to both boxes AND singles.

I'm pretty much waiting for the local stores to carry the second box set so I don't have to order it online.
