That's Tenkaichi Budokai, stupid American distributors.

I understand that keeping it as Sparking Meteor would make no sense to American viewers, but honestly.

doesnt matter what the tournament in the show is called, or how stupid it is

thats what the title is in the usa

I know it is. But I think I'm entitled some fist-shaking and "curse you"-ing. Won't change anything, but always fun to do.

*shakes fist* Curse you, Atari!

(Posted on 07/10/07) by lost in thought:

You're not entitled to it, though. Back with the first game, yeah, when that was released hooting over the stupidity was all good; but since they've continued the naming, it's fallen into the realm of being redundant to still preach the problem.

(Posted on 07/11/07) by Lord Puppetmon:

It doesn't make it any less stupid that they've been using it for three games now. And it's not like I'm really pissed about it, just mildly unimpressed.

(Posted on 07/11/07) by lost in thought:

Well, no, it doesn't. But it's one of those things that's already old news. It's like yelling at Taco Bell five years from now, for the ecoli breakout that happened now; it's no longer relevant, whether it's concurrently happening or not. It' still stupid and careless, but it's one of those things that happened and can't be undone at the initial time of its happening.

Being unimpressed is reasonable. So is shaking your fist. But continuing a spectacle over dated happening is just... pointless at this point in the game.
