E3 News- Wednesday- Part 1

Just gonna go over a few games that I'm interested in that I've seen stuff of really quickly (all games expected to come out this year).

Rock Band- Seems like a natural evolution from Guitar Hero, but it just seems so much slicker.

The Simpsons Game- Damn near looks brilliant. Game parodies, show parodies...and whats this about 'Grand Theft Scratchy'?

Assassin's Creed- Looks like it may very well blow the water out of every single action game this year. Won't give away the twist, but it appears to be a doozy. I love the fact that the environment changes, if you walk into someone and knock them down, other townspeople might attack you, might yell at you, which might alert guards, and it truly seems like EVERY character in the game has their own AI and that if you SEE something, you can do something with/to it.

Super Mario Galaxy- Not much new, but this might be the game I'm most hardcore for that comes out this year.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl- No mention of online gameplay in quite awhile. New character was revealed a bit ago to be Dr. Wright from the SNES version of SimCity. It looks like this will be a true game about NINTENDO, hopefully with a few more non Nintendo cameos. (edit- Wright is only an assist trophy, sorry for any confusion)

Tony Hawk's Proving Ground- The only yearly game that I can say I have owned every one. Last one reinvented the series in a good way, but left out certain standbys due to teh time spent recreating, looking forward to see if the greatness can continue.

Naruto: Rise of a Ninja- Looks to be a fantastic Naruto game. Free-Roam/Sandbox version of Konoha. Few interesting things, like putting Chakra in your feet to run up walls.

Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker- A new version of the Dragon Quest Monster franchise that mixes up stuff based on past Monsters games, Pokemon, and Dragon Quest 8. Looks interesting to say the least.

The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass- Zelda on the DS. Sequel to Wind Waker...uses ONLY the stylus to do stuff. It looks fantastic, and different. Which says something that Zelda games can still be different.

Unreal Tournament 3- Exclusive to the PS3 (for at least this year, don't know if that includes the PC version also.) Looks just as good as it has for the last year or so. But the big news was confirmation that the PS3 version would work with player made content from the PC version (mods, new characters, maps, etc.) Looks awesome.

Konami has thrown out a poem to lots of people suggesting something big tonight, so I'll be back later with more game tidbits and maybe some news.
