New Digimon Toyline- D-Arts

With more details, and now some detailed pictures figured it was time to make a newspost.

New Digimon toyline!

D-Arts will be a Figuart line focusing on Digimon.

The first three figures will be MetalGarurumon, Omegamon, and starting it all off will be WarGreymon.

WarGreymon will be out in November for 3,465 Yen.

No release date news for the Omegamon or WarGreymon yet or news on who else may be included. Who would you like to see in the line? (And who do you think will be reasonable guesses for who may be included, even if you want someone else?)

Information on Xros Wars Music Releases (Updated: Covers and Xros Heart tracklist)

We got some information on the CDs.

First up we have an OST.

DIGIMON XROS WARS ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK
Composer- Yamashita Kousuke
Catalog No.- COCX-36471
Price- 2,940 Yen
Release Date- 9/29/2010

Then we have the Xros Heart single.

We Are Xros Heart!
Singer- Wada Kouji
Catalog No.- COCC-16418
Price- 1,575 Yen
Release Date- 9/29/2010

So both are on the same day. Stranger is there doesn't seem to exist a listing for a single for the intro song yet. Perhaps that is from a listing that hasn't appeared anywhere yet or will be planned for release closer to Christmas or any number of other explanations...

The Xros Heart single also seems to suggest there will be a song with Takatori Hideaki (best known to anime fans as the person who did Sonic X's themesong with Kageyama) in it. Whether this suggests he is in Xros Heart itself with Kouji, or perhaps does a B-side of it on the single is unknown (it could also be a mistake in the listings.)

Should also mention, none of the normal importing places have these listings up yet, it appears they are meant for listing in early/mid August, so keep checking and you'll be able to preorder them soon.

Update- Coverart for the OST

Update again- Small thumbnail of the cover for the Xros Heart single, along with a full tracklist for it.

Tracklist for the single CD-

1. We Are Xros Heart- Wada Kouji
2. Blazing Blue Flare- Takatori Hideaki
3. Dondokomon de Moriagare!!- Sakurai Takahiro
4. We Are Xros Heart (Karaoke)
5. Blazing Blue Flare (Karaoke)
6. Dondokomon de Moriagare!! (Karaoke)

Xros Wars site translations pt 2

A summary of the general storyline.

General Story
One day, Taiki Kudou finds that he's the only one who can hear a strange melody. From that melody comes someone's voice calling faintly for help, a voice that sounds even now to be close to death...

"I... can't just turn my back on him!"

Shoutmon's heart reacts to Taiki's voice, causing the mysterious device, the Digimon X Loader to appear! Shoutmon's melody, close to disappearing for good, is sucked into the X Loader, and in that moment, Taiki is pulled into another world...!

Arriving there, what Taiki sees are the Digital World's monsters, Digimon, fighting each other. In this strange other world, the Bagura Empire's army, intent on claiming sovereignty, vigorously advances, attacking Shoutmon's peaceful village with all of its troops at that very moment. Although the superhuman Ballistamon fights back bravely, the defending party is all weak.

Recovered from being inside Taiki's X Loader, a monster comes out of it. That is Shoutmon. Shoutmon fights desperately alongside his village friends. However, the Bagura army is fiercely strong, putting Shoutmon and the others in grave peril. Unable to be indifferent to the danger, Taiki protects Shoutmon. At that moment, the X Loader reacts. At Taiki's command, Shoutmon and Ballistamon fuse together!

"This is... Digi-Xros!"

That was the moment when the fusion "Digi-Xros" that was even special in the Digital World took place!! With the help of Digi-Xros, Taiki, Shoutmon and the others drive away the Bagura army. Watching them was a boy soon to be Taiki's formidable rival, Kiriha Aonuma, and his team, as well as the mysterious beauty, Nene...!

Fighting against the Bagura empire's army, who schemes of taking over the Digital World, Taiki and Shoutmon's group grows bigger as they become allies with Dorurumon.

As he fights together with Shoutmon, does Taiki wish to become the Digital World's king, or simply bring about a return to peace?

Now in the Digital World, an epic war begins!!

Xros Wars site translations pt 1

In celebration of both Digimon Xros Wars sites being updated today, here are exclusive translations of character profiles to tide you over.

Cross Heart
Taiki Kudou: The protagonist of this story and a 7th grade boy. His catchphrase is "I can't turn my back on them!" Although he has a soft heart, he is a child prodigy who is unaware of his own genius. He has no desire or ambition to push someone aside to show off his own abilities, but he ends up kicking ass anyway when it's something that he started up to help someone in need. Because of this, he is popular as a backup player and this leaves him constantly exhausted. A broad-minded fellow, his tolerance of others even attract Digimon to him. His childhood friend Akari saves him so many times from danger that he feels forever indebted and is at her beck and call. His father is a sports trainer who tours around the nation, so he lives alone with his mother.

Akari Hinomoto: 6th grade girl and Taiki's childhood friend. Although a year younger than Taiki, she acts as the wife who supports his inner self. She is well aware of Taiki's genius ever since they were young and believes that she should keep on the lookout so Taiki doesn't end up being used in some strange way. Once Taiki entered middle school and became heavily involved with clubs, she considered this really bad and began following him around even more. Perhaps because of her natural "big sister" personality, she supports the backup and healer Digimon of the whole army, acting as peacemaker for large groups such as those of Starmon and Pickmons. She lives with her parents and younger brother.

Zenjiro Tsurugi: Taiki's classmate. After losing to the then-amateur Taiki at a kendo championship competition, he has been tailing him ever since to settle the score. He proclaims himself to be Taiki's eternal rival. An exceedingly sensible person, he insists on troublesome things like how etiquette in a duel should be properly implemented. Because of this, Taiki feels awkward around his presence, and Akari very obviously tries to chase him away. On the other hand, he grows familiar with the enemy's mentality and becomes a supporter for the good-hearted Taiki and Digimon. His parent runs a mechanic-type business. Thanks to this, he is knowledgeable about machines and does repairs to Ballistamon.

Shoutmon: The main Digimon character. Extremely confident in himself, he can take violence a little too far, but at the same time he is a hardworker. A nice guy who walks a straight path to becoming the Digimon King. Charmed by Taiki's personality after Taiki saves his life, he proposes that they subjugate the Digimon world together and become its rulers. An intuitive person, his evaluation of others is surprisingly never off the mark. He gets irritated at Taiki for having no ambitions, and there are times when he loses his temper because Taiki makes fun of him, causing him to fall for even the simplest trap.

Ballistamon: Shoutmon's partner... or rather, a wife-like Digimon who couldn't leave Shoutmon well enough alone and ended up sticking by his side. With its overwhelming power and armor, it becomes the group's shield. An honest warrior who never speaks a word. On very good terms with Taiki, Akari, and Zenjiro.

Dorurumon: A free spirit with a constant smirk. A wanderer who lives as freely as the wind. Although he is skilled in combat, he is not particularly interested in accumulating military results or dealing the final blow. Because he appears apathetic and cool, he is consistently at odds with Shoutmon. Yet despite his cynical side, there is the sense that he has not given up completely on dreams...

Starmon and Pickmons: An idiotic Digimon unit who call Shoutmon their bro and look up to him with the deepest admiration. An ambush-type, they fly through the air in numbers to attack, or fuse together to become a sword, showing a surprisingly remarkable level of involvement. Weak to the notion of "looking cool," there are times when they are easily manipulated into demonstrating their power through this idea.

Blue Flare
Kiriha Aonuma: Although in the same grade as Taiki, he attends an elite school. Already, in the Digital World, he has command of a large number of Digimon through his genius tactics and direct control of powerful Digimon. Seeing Taiki's latent abilities, he invites Taiki to join him as his subordinate but is turned down.

Twilight
Nene Amano: A beautiful girl with many mysteries surrounding her. She is always searching for strong soldiers. Sometimes she will lend Taiki a hand, and sometimes she will curry favor with Kiriha or the newborn empire, causing Taiki some trouble.

Newspaper article on Xros Wars

Onkeikun here. Godofchaos invited me to join WtWNews to provide you all with upcoming Xros Wars news, so here's to being of service for the next month or so!

There was a small article on XW printed in the entertainment section of Mainichi Shimbun today, and while I'd already picked out the main parts of it from earlier, here's the full version of it as my debut post on WtW News. :]

Keeping in time with "Digimon Xros Wars," the newest of the big hit TV anime series "Digital Monsters" that will be coming back this July after 4 years, there was an announcement conference on the 20th at Bellesalle Akihabara (Tokyo city, Chiyoda district) about handheld toys and new goodies in relation to the new show. Takayama Minami-san who will be voicing the protagonist Kudou Taiki made an appearance at the conference, and she promoted the new series by saying "this series is created by a group of *the* most capable members around, so for the time being, I hope it becomes a show that will be enjoyed and loved forever by a broad range of generations."

"Digimon Xros Wars" was born from the big hit handheld device toys "Digital Monsters," and is the 6th newest TV anime show to appear after 4 years when its predecessors went on air between 1999-2006. Its story is about a 7th grader Kudou Taiki, who obtains an item called the "Digimon Xros Loader" which can give power for the Digimon to Digixros (fuse). He is thrown into a different world known as the "Digital World" with his friends. Taiki teams up with his partner, a Digimon named "Shoutmon" who possesses a lock spirit, and the two lead a Digimon army to face their enemies. Takayama-san said enthusiastically that the voice actors involved are "members who are not only of an older age group but who get easily excitable. But our teamwork is fine. The casting is at a heavy level, so I think we'll go about by showing you the inner power of us veterans."

To match with the broadcast of the new series, Bandai will release the "Digimon Xros Loader" (7140 yen) in October, a handheld device toy where one can compete with their monsters while raising them. In the anime, it appears as the key item that calls up Digimon or allows them to fuse, so among items of similar type, it will be the first to be equipped with color LCD. It will also come with voice recognition, and one can use it to obtain new Digimon through nearby sounds, and even have limited edition Digimon transmitted to it from sounds of the cell phone or television. It also comes with wireless so you can communicate with other players while enjoying battles with your armies. What's more, it can even be used as an MP3 player that can hold up to 50 songs, and if you insert the Digi-memory that is sold separately, you can call up legendary Digimon that had once starred in the past.

The TV anime "Digimon Xros Wars" will begin broadcasting from TV Asahi on July 6th at 7:27PM. (Mainichi Shimbun Digital)

Lots of new Xros Wars info, including cast and Premiere info and even more!

The first episode will air on July 6th, and the show will get the 7:27-7:57 timeslot.

Then we have cast info:

And as the cast list shows, we finally know of new human characters, hooray! (Description translations blatantly borrowed from onkei-kun!):

Zenjirou Tsurugi - Taiki's classmate and kendo boy who proclaims to be Taiki's "eternal rival". He hates things that are immoral/injust.
Kiriha Aonuma - 7th grader who leads and fights with Greymon. He eliminates enemies with cold and calculated methods, spreading the influence of his power.
Nene Amano - A beautiful girl who leads a mysterious army. She appears to be searching for strong soldiers for a purpose, but...?

The new Digivice is apparently called the Digimon Cross Loader.

Next up, we have confirmation that Digimon is getting a new manga in V-Jump starting in August. We don't have a title yet but based on the picture it is definitely Xros Wars related (maybe an adaption of the anime or maybe a whole new story with the characters, we don't know yet.)

Then we have the scans that all this info is from (it's all mixed up together between the scans, which is why I'm just including it at the end.)
